If you are decent at writing, you can easily land a gig writing for these websites.
When starting out, you typically will get paid $0.05 a word, which for a 1,000 word blog post comes to $50.
Write 2 articles a day for a total of 20 articles a month and you have made $1,000.
As you gain experience, you can increase your rates.
I know some writers who charge $1.00 per word.
Those same 20 articles that are 1,000 words each now earn you $20,000 a month!
Now, where do you find these jobs?
Search for websites on the topics you like to write about and reach out to the owner.
Or jump on Facebook and find freelance writing groups to join.

Credit cards offer sign up bonuses all the time.
If you are smart with your approach, you could make easy money here.
Most offers require you to spend a certain amount of money in the first couple months of card ownership.
If you can meet this requirement, you earn the sign up bonus.
For cash back credit cards, the bonus could be a few hundred dollars.
For rewards credit cards, the point bonus could score you a free flight.

Yes, you can make money off your body and it’s one of the best ways to make extra cash.

Pinterest is huge for websites looking to drive traffic back to their site.
The problem is most people don’t know how to best use Pinterest.
If you do, there is serious money with this high demand idea.
On average, Pinterest managers earn $300 a month working a few hours a week for each client they have.
If you have 4 clients, you will make $1,000 a month and work as many hours as if you had a part-time job.
#5. Virtual Assistant
Maybe Pinterest isn’t your thing.
If you are organized, have basic technical skills, and are a good communicator, then becoming a virtual assistant is for you.
Here you do odd jobs for website owners.
You might write and send out emails, edit or format blog posts, source images, network, etc.
Without any experience, you can make $15-$20 an hour.
With experience, you can make even more.

Websites need logos made, infographics created, printables designed, images cropped, etc.
If you are skilled in with Photoshop, you will have people knocking on your door for help.
A great place to post your services is Fiverr.
This is an online marketplace where people go to find one-time help with issues like graphic design.
And don’t think you only make $5 per gig.
Hardly anyone charges that now.
You can be making $20 up to $150 per gig, depending on how complex it is.
#7. Join Fiverr
I know I just mentioned Fiverr above, but don’t think it is only for graphic designers.
Writers, musicians, or anyone with anything to offer can join Fiverr and start selling.
The options really are endless.
And like with the point above, you will make more than $5 per gig, making this a great side hustle to consider.
#8. Sell Your Stuff
One of the fastest ways to earn $1,000 is to clean out your house and sell stuff.
What do you have lying around you no longer use, need, or want?
Skip the idea of a yard sale or flea market.
You won’t reach a lot of people this way.
Instead list your things for sale on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or one of the newer apps for selling things.
Depending on what you are selling, you could quickly make $1,000 a week.
#9. Amazon FBA
If you like the idea of reselling items but want to take it up a notch, there is Amazon FBA.
This was my #1 way of making money fast.
I easily was making an extra $100 a week without trying.
If I put in a little more effort, I could have easily been making $1,000 or more a month.
Here is how Amazon FBA works.
#1. You find clearance items at stores in your area.
#2. You list the item on Amazon using your FBA account for a higher price.
#3. You ship the item to Amazon and wait.
#4. Once it sells, Amazon will ship the item and pay you your commission.
That is all there is to it.
The trick lies in the first step, finding items on clearance.
This step takes the most time and most people give up at this point because they don’t know the best way to find clearance items.
I know because I almost gave up.
It was hard at first, but eventually I figured things out.
But it took me close to 4 months.
You don’t have to struggle this long.

#10. Garage Sale Arbitrage
If the Amazon FBA idea sounds too complex, here is a simpler option for you.
Visit garage sales, yard sales, and estate sales in your free time looking for low price items you can resell for a profit.
This happens because the seller just wants to get rid of the stuff and doesn’t know its true value.
If you do, you can make good money.
And here is a bonus tip.
Also visit your local thrift store.
There are times when I’ve found some great items for really cheap.
I buy and resell online and make much more than I paid for it.
#11. Tutor
Do you excel in a particular subject matter?
Maybe math or science is your thing.
Have you thought about tutoring?
You can tutor high school students or even college students and make money doing so.
For a few hours a week, you could earn $100 or more.
And if you are good at taking standardized exams, you could tutor students on these as well.
If on the other hand you want to set your own schedule, you can look into working with VIPKid.

You don’t need to know a foreign language to be successful, just the skills to be a good teacher.

There is another option like these you might like.
Sell unwanted items for others.
Do you have family members, friends, or neighbors that have a lot of stuff they keep saying they will sell but never do?
Offer to sell it for them.
You take 20% of the sale price as your fee for doing all the work.

You don’t even need to do anything more than you already do with this tip.

Maybe the stock market isn’t your thing.
Maybe you like the idea of earning passive income from rental properties.
This is a great way to make money but you need a lot of money to start with to buy properties.

When you work with Instacart, you can be an in-store shopper or a full service shopper for people looking to have their groceries delivered.
As an in-store shopper, you simply shop for the items on the customers shopping list and get it ready for delivery.
If you are a full-service shopper, you also shop for the items on the shopping list and prepare it for delivery, but you also will make the delivery as well.

Pet owners love their pets and many times want to avoid putting their pet in a kennel when they travel.
This is where you come in.
For a small fee, you agree to visit the pets on a daily basis or even move in while the owners are away and watch over their pets.
If you love animals it is easy work and you can make upwards of $25 an hour doing it.
#20. Dog Walk
If pet sitting sounds too time consuming and you would rather have more free time, then consider becoming a dog walker.
You can make $20 an hour taking dogs in your local area out for a walk.
Post your services on Facebook and encourage referrals and you’ll have more business than you know what do with.
And here is one of the best creative ways to grow this idea more.
If you get a lot of requests from dog owners to walk their dog, get some friends together and start a business.

I had no idea.

Similar to food delivery, you can work for Uber or Lyft driving people around.

For example, if someone is going in the same direction as you go for work, why not pick them up and get paid to drive to work?
Same idea when coming home at the end of the day.

Yes, this is real.
The other option is to go to yard sales, estate sales, etc. and find textbooks that you can resell.
But there is a greater chance of success with this option as you have a lot less competition.
#26. Take Online Surveys
This way to make quick cash is controversial.
The reason I say this is because some people swear by taking surveys. Others think it is a complete scam and waste of time.
I fall into the group of thinking it is a great way to make money quick because I have made a lot of money taking surveys.
The reason most people feel scammed by surveys is because they have unrealistic expectations.
They think they are going to make $500 in 5 minutes.
This isn’t the case.
If you decide to take surveys, you need to understand they do take time. And you will do work.
Most surveys take you 10 minutes to complete and you will be making a few dollars each time.
But there is a trick to make more money with surveys and it is the trick I use to make hundreds of dollars a month.

#28. Reduce Your Expenses
Saving money isn’t really making money, but it is similar.
By lowering your expenses, you will free up money every month and this can feel like you are making extra cash.

But I’ll share with you the ones that have the biggest impact.
First, look at your property taxes.
You can find a local real estate lawyer to look at what you pay compared to your neighbors.
If you pay more, the attorney will try to get your taxes lowered.
If they fail at this, you pay no fees. If they are successful, you pay a small percent of the savings.
When we did this, we saved $1,000 a year on our taxes.
Next, look at your groceries.
Try to be smarter about what you buy.
Fewer weekly trips, shopping with a list, and limiting junk food are simple things you can do to lower this monthly bill.
Additionally, see if other grocery stores have lower prices.
If there is a discount grocer, like Walmart or Aldi, try shopping there.
Just these tips alone could lower your monthly bill $100 or more a month.
